Week Adventure Tour on the River Tisza

We offer it for the adventurous types who are keen on trying a romantic paddling tour and exploring the reaches of both rivers –the Upper Tisza and the ’Old Túr’- in Hungary.

River ’Old-Túr” is an extremely romantic, safe water, at a medium depth up to your waist. Bended, fell- in trees, the untouched flora and fauna and reeds make it unique.

 Suggested for people who prefer returning from the day trips to the most comfortable tents or rooms with (private) bath in Tiszabecs (dolphin campsite) and Tivadar (Diós Campsite). Accomodation at the Guest House can also be required.

 Leaving Tiszabecs each day, you can paddle on the rivers –Tisza and ’The Old Túr’ - or ride a bike throughout touching some cultural and historical sights of North- Eastern Hungary. (Getting to the rivers are possible by bus instead of riding a bike).

Besides paddling, tourists can get acquainted with the local gastronomy (home of the world famous Szatmár ’pálinka’ and several dishes) or pay a visit to a farm breeding traditional Hungarian domestic animals as well as climb Tarpa Hill.

As the waters are quite safe to fight near beginners are encouraged to take part in the Tour.

Duration: 7 days, 6 nights.

Total length: 10- 25 r.km per day

Route: The reaches of the Tisza between Tiszabecs and Gergelyiugornya and the ones of the ’Old Túr’ between Sonkád and Nagyar.

Participation fee: 30.250 HUF at campsite, 42.350 HUF at Guest House(deposit of 40%). The sum consists of the fees of campsite and accomodation for 6 days, meals two times a day (breakfast and a two- course dinner), charge of kayak/ canoe or bikes, the costs of their and your luggage’s land  carriage, fees of the guides and instructors.

Departing days: For a minimum of 25 people (as a private group), any time!
