Water
Trip on the Hungarian reach of the River Bodrog
We offer it for those who intend to explore all the
preserved flora and fauna, and the cultural- historical sights of the
neighbourhood. Also, the world- famous wine- growing area must be an
outstanding attraction of its own.
Day 1: Arrival at Tokaj, pitching tents, social
evening, etc.
Day 2: Theoretical and practical paddling instructions on the River
Tisza. Travelling to Felsőberecki by bus in the afternoon.
Day 3: Water trip to the town of Sárospatak,
visiting the local sights: the millstone mine; ’Tengerszem’ (’Sea Eye’, a
popular walking area and geological exploration spot surrounded by
high rock walls); Rákóczi’s Castle (the Prince of Transylvania)
Day 4: Water trip to Olaszliszka
Day 5: Paddling back to Tokaj. Wine- cellar visit
optional.
Day 6: Walking tour, climbing the ’Tokaj Hill’,
wine- cellar visit optional.
Day 7: Free time, return journey
Participation
fee: 25.300 HUF (deposit of 40%). The sum consists of
the fees of campsite and accomodation for 6 days, meals two times a day
(breakfast and a two- course dinner), charge of kayak/ canoe or bikes and the
costs of them and luggage’s land carriage, fees of guides and instructors.
