Starlight Water Tour, touching the River Tisza, the River Túr and the River Old- Túr

We offer it for those who prefer returning from the day trips to the most comfortable tents or rooms with (private) bath. You can paddle on either on the three rivers mentioned above or ride a bike throughout touching some cultural and historical sights of North- Eastern Hungary (detailed program available on our official website).

A planned schedule:

Day 1.  Arrival on ’Vidám Delfin Kemping” (Happy Dolphin campsite), Tiszabecs.

Day 2.  Paddling instructions, choosing the approproate canoe, then on the ’old Túr’ water trip from the (little) dam, Sonkád to Kölcse, local countryside museum.

Day 3: Water trip from the ’little’ dam to the ’big’ dam on River Túr. Bathing facilities under the largest waterfall of the area. Then  bike ride to Szatmárcseke, visiting the Móricz – memorial (great Hungarial write), the Protestant church and the bellfry as well. Biking home through Milota, home of nut.

Day 4.  Water trip from Tiszabecs to Szatmárcseke on the shallow, pebbled Upper- Tisza (24 r.km). Visit to the world- famous wooden headboarded cemetery and Kölcsey- memorial (author of our national anthem). Back to Tiszabecs.

Day 5: Water trip on the romantic ’Old Túr’ between Kölcse and Túristvándi. Visit to the unique water mill.

Day 6.  Water trip betweeen the most spectacular reaches of the Tisza: Szatmárcseke- Tivadar (15 r.km). Bathing facilities on the golden sandy banks. Back to the campsite.

Day 7.  After breakfast, resting and bathing. Return journey.

Duration: 7 days, 6 nights

Participation fee: 22.900 HUF (deposit of 40%). The sum consists of the fees of campsite and accomodation, meals two times a day (breakfast and a two- course dinner), charge of kayak/ canoe or bikes and the costs of carriage from places where paddling back home may be difficult.

Accomodation at guest- house: 32.850 HUF

Departing days: 12- 18 June, 03- 09 July, 24- 30 July, 14- 20 August, 2010.
