Sporty Water and Bike Ride on the River Tisza

The ones who welcome challenges and live sporty lives are awaited here.  Bathing, sunbathing, chilling out can be enjoyed as well as wine tasting in Tokaj. The daily distance of 20- 22 r.km is not exhausting but requires fluent paddling at a time. Several guests of us choose this Tour because of the famous Tokaj wine- growing area and fun it offers after paddling.

Duration: 7 days, 6 nights

Total length: 201 r.km

Route: Tiszabecs- Szatmárcseke (24 km), Tivadar (15 km), Gergelyiugornya (20 km), Tiszamogyorós (34 km), Tuzsér (34 km), Ibrány (42 km)- perhaps Tiszbercel-, Tokaj (32 km).

A planned schedule:

Day 1:  After arriving at Vidám Delfin Kemping (Happy Dolphin Campsite), guided preparation to the tour, paddling instructions, social evening, etc.

Day 2:  Water trip from Szatmárcseke to Tivadar, the Tiszanian ’Las Vegas’ which is the most eye- catching spot of the Tisza. In every 2 kilometre, every bend, spectacular sandy shores display tourists and bathers; therefore live music awaits people on the beach at night. Day distance: 39 r.km

Day 3:  Water- trip from Tivadar to Gergelyiugornya. This is the largest open- bath of the Tisza, the most popular one among the young. Sandy shore, a lot of bathing facilities available as the previous day. Day distance: 20 r.km

Day 4:  Water tour from Gergelyiugornya to Tiszamogyorós. Altough a bit more paddling is required, having lots of fun is still provided now. Day distance: 34 r.km

Day 5:  Water trip to Tuzsér, on the Hungarian- Ukrainen and partly Slovakian bordering waters of the Tisza. Day distance: 34 r.km.

Day 6:  Water trip from Tuzsér to Ibrány, perhaps to Tiszabercel. This is the longest distance to paddle here this Tour. A day’s distance of the Tokaj wine- growing area may be a source of motivation to fight the river kilometres. In Dombrád we stop to take a deeper breath. Day distance: 42 km.

Day 7: Water trip from Ibrány/ Tiszabercel to Tokaj. During paddling you can enjoy the sight of the spectacular view of Tokaj Hill. Day distance: 32 r. km. Return journey privately or organized to the nearby railway station. If required, we can start a bus to Tiszabecs for them who have arrived to the base campsite by car.

Participation fee: 24.850 HUF (deposit of 40%). The sum consists of the fees of campsite and accomodation for 6 days, meals two times a day (breakfast and a two- course dinner), charge of kayak/ canoe or bikes, the costs of their and your luggage’s land  carriage, fees of the guides and instructors.

For groups over 30 people: 19, 750 HUF (without any benefits).
