Water and Bike Tour on the River Tisza
A shortened version of the classical water tour,
offered for near beginners and families
who tend to paddle on/ride a bike with others having children as well. Being
rich in ’golden sand’ this reach of the river is suitable for people who prefer
bathing and having fun besides paddling. Throughout spending time on the most
popular beaches you have the possibility to touch some cultural and historical
sights of North- Eastern Hungary.

Route:
Tiszabecs- Szatmárcseke (24 r.km), Szatmárcseke- Tivadar (15 r.km), Tivadar-
Gergelyiugornya (20 r.km)
A
planned schedule:
Day 1: After
arriving at Vidám Delfin Kemping (Happy Dolphin Campsite), dinner, social evening,
etc.
Day 2: After breakfast guided preparation to the
tour, paddling instructions, trying some canoe types.
Day 3: Water trip from Tiszabecs to Szatmárcseke,
on the upper flow of the Tisza. From Tiszabecs on, pebbled shores are existing
so the water is absolutely clear there. The first Hungarian sand shore can be
found in Szatmárcseke. Daily reach: 24 r.km.
Day 4: Water
trip from Szatmárcseke to Tivadar, the Tiszanian ’Las Vegas’ which is the most
eye- catching spot of the Tisza. In every 2 kilometre, every bend, spectacular
sandy shores display tourists and bathers; therefore live music awaits people
on the beach at night. Day distance: 15 r.km
Day 5: Rest
day in Tivadar
Day 6:
Water- trip from Tivadar to Gergelyiugornya. This is the largest open-
bath of the Tisza, the most popular one among the young. Sandy shore, a lot of
bathing facilities available as the previous day. Day distance: 20 r.km
Day 7:
Return journey privately or organized to the nearby railway station. If
required, we can start a bus to Tiszabecs for them who have arrived to the base
campsite by car.
Participation
fee: 21.950 HUF (deposit of 40%). The sum consists of
the fees of campsite and accomodation for 6 days, meals two times a day
(breakfast and a two- course dinner), charge of kayak/ canoe or bikes, the
costs of their and your luggage’s land
carriage, fees of the guides and instructors.
